non intersecting mesh inflation

The aim was to create randomly folded surface structures known from organs or corals. By creating a large contact surface and using just a small volume, biologic systems speed up chemical processes. In design such surfaces could be used for filters or heat exchange.

This algorithm uses Kangaroo for Grasshopper to simulate an inflation with spring and unary centered forces by trying to avoid intersection with the help of sphere collision. It works with any closed mesh. The finer the mesh the more detailled the surface will become.

Do not hestitate to ask me for the algorithm. furthermore it uses weaverbird as plugin. the images are rendered in Vray.
